I've sat with hundreds of families and watched the same pattern play out: a mom who's read everything and tried everything, convinced she's failing, when the actual problem is that the advice was written for a different kid. I'm also a mom of three, two of them neurodiverse. I know exactly what it looks like when the whole morning falls apart before 8am. And after all those years and all those families, here's what I know for sure: I have never met a bad kid. I've met a lot of missed messages. That's what this workshop is. A live hour where you learn to catch the message inside the battle, then build a Connection Game Plan for your actual kid while I coach plans live in the room. I'm Melissa Schulz, MS, BCBA, and #1 bestselling author of The Power of Connection. I run Confidently Mommin', where I help moms of strong-willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids stop surviving their days and start enjoying their kids again. This workshop is the fastest way I know to get the closeness back. FAQ My kid is 3. Or 9. Is this for us? The workshop is built for kids ages 2 to 10. The Verbal Pivot works across that whole range, and the live coaching pulls scenarios from different ages so you see how it applies to yours. Is this only for kids with ADHD or autism? It's for any mom whose kid doesn't respond to standard parenting advice. Strong-willed, highly sensitive, emotionally intense kids with ADHD, kids with autism. If the usual approaches haven't worked, you're in the right place. Live is better. You can drop your standoff in the chat for the coaching moment and get real-time feedback while you build your response. But the replay goes out the morning after (July 29) and you have lifetime access. I've been to parenting workshops before and nothing stuck. Why is this different? Because you build something during the hour. By the end you'll have a response written for your kid and your situation, ready to use that night, instead of a list of tips to remember. Why $27? Because paid means you'll show up. I've run years' worth of free webinars and watched people register and then disappear. Twenty-seven dollars is the cost of a few coffees, but more importantly, it’s a signal to yourself that you're serious about changing this pattern. Will this be a pitch for coaching? The workshop stands on its own. You'll leave with your response, whether or not you ever spend another dollar with me. At the end, I'll share two ways to keep working with me (Behavior Rx at $97 and the 30-Day Power Struggle Fix at $350) and drop the links in the chat. Zero pressure either way. What does BCBA mean? Board Certified Behavior Analyst. It's a graduate-level credential in applied behavior analysis, the science of how behavior works and how to change it. I use that science to help real families in real kitchens on real Tuesday mornings. Why Kids Stop Coming to Us (And How to Keep Yours Close) The minutes are still there. Let's go catch them. In this free five day reset, you will stop guessing, understand what is really driving your child’s big behaviors, and finally begin breaking the cycle. Group Coaching When nothing seems to work with your strong willed, sensitive, or neurodiverse child… finally understand the behavior and know exactly what to do next. Subheadline: Inside this coaching program you will learn the proven system that helps moms stop reacting, understand what is actually driving their child’s behavior, and create real lasting change at home. Join Us! Spaces limited/countdown- no changes You Love Your Child More Than Anything But parenting them feels harder than you ever expected. The meltdowns seem to come out of nowhere. The power struggles drain your energy. You repeat yourself over and over and somehow nothing changes. You try to stay calm, sometimes you succeed, but other times you hear yourself yelling and immediately feel awful. You read the books, try the parenting strategies, promise yourself tomorrow will be different, and yet the same cycle keeps happening. Part of you wonders: What am I missing? The truth is, many strong willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids do not respond to traditional parenting strategies, and not because you are doing something wrong, or because your child is broken. It is because their nervous system and brain work differently. Until you understand why the behavior is happening, the strategies rarely work. Maybe you recognize some of this: Your child melts down over things that seem small Simple requests turn into arguments Screens cause constant battles You feel like you are walking on eggshells You want to stay calm but keep getting triggered If this sounds like your house lately, you are in the right place. What to Expect By the end of this free reset, you will: Understand why the big behaviors keep happening Feel more steady and less reactive in the moment See your child’s behavior in a completely different way Know what to try next instead of guessing Feel hopeful again Register Now Hi, I'm Melissa I help moms of strong-willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids understand big behaviors and finally break the cycle at home. My work combines behavior science, nervous system awareness, and real world parenting in a way that feels practical and doable. I’m a national speaker and award-winning parenting coach and I’ve supported hundreds of families navigating big behaviors at home. I’m also a mom of 3 with neurodiverse and strong-willed kids of my own. I know how exhausting it can feel when nothing seems to work, and I’ve created a proven system that makes lasting change possible. Melissa Schulz, MS, BCBA Behavior Expert & Parenting Coach Named “Best Parenting Coach in the United States in 2025” March 16 to March 20, 2026 How It Works Over five days inside a private Facebook group, you will receive: One short video you can watch (10-15 min) One live group coaching call Simple shifts you can try immediately A supportive space with other moms who get it This is designed to feel supportive, not overwhelming. And it’s free! Register Now Why This is Different? Most parenting advice focuses on what to do in the moment. Charts. Consequences. Scripts. Staying calm. But if the same big behaviors keep happening, it is not because you need more tips. Big behaviors are not random. They follow patterns that most parents were never taught to see. When you understand what is really happening and change your response in the right places, the behavior begins to change too. That is what this free reset will help you do. This free reset is for you if: You are exhausted from the same big behaviors happening over and over You keep wondering what you are missing You feel guilty after you react You know your child is not “bad” but you do not know what to do differently You are ready for something to change You Do Not Have to Keep Living in the Same Cycle You are not failing. Your child is not broken. And this is not random. There is a reason the big behaviors keep happening. And when you understand it, everything starts to feel more manageable. Calm is possible. Change is possible. And it starts here. Join us inside The 5 Day Calm Mom Reset. I've always dreaded my alone time with him. He has been a difficult child from day one for me, until the last few months he’s really turning a corner! My son was having 5-6 tantrums a day that would last for up to an hour of full blown screaming, crying, foaming at the mouth, hitting, kicking, biting, and throwing things. I had no idea what the right reaction was. I tried staying calm, I tried yelling back, time-out, ignoring him, etc. I was losing my mind. I’m now enjoying my sweet child! Our days aren’t perfect, but they are so much better lately. All to say I highly recommend Melissa! Thank you so much for the months of parent coaching. It has SO paid off! – Lyndee S.

  • FAQ | Confidently Mommin’ Parenting Coaching with Melissa Shulz, BCBA

Find answers to frequently asked questions about Confidently Mommin’ and Melissa Shulz, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Learn more about parenting coaching services, approaches, and how to get started on your journey. FAQ Do you have an office near me? I’m as close as your computer! I work with all my clients via Zoom and my certification is international so I get to serve clients anywhere and everywhere. When do you observe my child? I actually don’t! I have worked in families homes for over twenty years and have found it is most effective to talk to the parent and hear their perspective on their child’s behavior. My clients are welcome to send me videos of their child but that’s usually not necessary. Should my partner be on the consultation call too? You are both welcome to be on the call! However, most people prefer to talk to me individually. My coaching program focuses on one parent. Each parent has different triggers, emotional reactions, and default responses, so I work with each parent individually to address your specific patterns with your child. All coaching sessions can be recorded and a transcript and summary is provided that can be shared with the partner and the partner is welcome to join occasional sessions to ensure everyone is on the same page. I offer a discount for couples that each purchase their own individual coaching package. Do you acccept insurance? No, my services are private pay only. My package was thoughtfully and intentionally created to bridge the gap between what medical insurance provides and what families actually need to change their child(ren)’s behavior. Is your coaching program the same as therapy No! I am not a licensed therapist and do not do therapy. I LOVE therapy and recommend it for all humans, and what I do is very different. While we will discuss some thoughts and emotions that are keeping you stuck, we will do this in a very intentional and step by step way with an emphasis on behavior change. I do not provide medical treatment for a mental health condition, instead I use a unique blend of mindset work and research-based behavioral strategies to change your behavior so that you can change your child’s behavior. Some of my clients are also in therapy to resolve childhood issues, trauma, treat a mental health condition, etc., and it works well to do both. How much does your coaching program cost? I share that information with you on the consultation call once I understand your unique family situation and what your needs are. Become the parent you want to be.
