Yell Less, Smile More

When nothing seems to work with your strong willed, sensitive, or neurodiverse child… finally understand the behavior and know exactly what to do next.

Inside this coaching program you will learn the proven system that helps moms stop reacting, understand what is actually driving their child’s behavior, and create real lasting change at home.

Be the first to be notified when enrollment opens!

You love your child more than anything.

But parenting them feels harder than you ever expected.

You try to stay calm.

Sometimes you succeed.
But other times you hear yourself yelling and immediately feel awful.

The meltdowns seem to come out of nowhere.

The power struggles drain your energy.
You repeat yourself over and over and somehow nothing changes.

You read the books.

 You try the parenting strategies.
You promise yourself tomorrow will be different.

And yet the same cycle keeps happening.

Part of you wonders: What am I missing?

The truth is, many strong willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids do not respond to traditional parenting strategies.

Not because you are doing something wrong.

And not because your child is broken.

It is because their nervous system and brain work differently.

Until you understand why the behavior is happening, the strategies rarely work.

Maybe you recognize some of this:

Your child melts down over things that seem small

Simple requests turn into arguments

Screens cause constant battles

You feel like you are walking on eggshells

You want to stay calm but keep getting triggered

If this sounds like your house lately, you are in the right place.

Be the first to be notified when enrollment opens!

If traditional parenting advice was going to work for your child, it would have worked by now.

You have probably tried a lot already.

  • Sticker charts.

  • Consequences.

  • Taking things away.

  • Calm talks about behavior.

Maybe some of those things helped a little.

But the same power struggles keep showing up.

The same meltdowns keep happening.

The same patterns keep repeating.

Not because you are inconsistent.

Not because you are too soft.

And not because your child is choosing to make life difficult.

Most parenting strategies are designed for kids who can easily regulate their emotions and respond logically to consequences.

Strong willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids often cannot.

When their nervous system is overwhelmed, their brain is not in a place where lectures, punishments, or rewards actually change the behavior.

So parents keep trying harder.

  • More consequences.

  • More rules.

  • More reminders.

But without understanding what is actually driving the behavior, the cycle keeps repeating.

There’s a better way!

When you understand what is actually driving your child’s behavior, everything starts to make more sense.

Over the years of working with families, I kept noticing the same thing. Parents were trying incredibly hard.

They were reading books, following parenting advice, and doing everything they could to help their kids succeed.

But they were missing one critical piece.

They were being given strategies without understanding the behavior first.

And without that understanding, even good strategies often fall apart.

That is why I began teaching parents a simple process that helps them slow down, understand what is really happening, and respond in a way that actually changes behavior.

That process is what I now call the GUIDE Framework.

The GUIDE Framework

A simple 5 step process for understanding why the behavior is happening and what to do about it.

1. Gather Data

Start by clearly defining the behavior and noticing patterns.

This helps you move from guessing about the problem to actually understanding what is happening.

2. Understand Your Triggers

Most parents know they should stay calm, but no one teaches them how.
You will learn how to regulate your own nervous system so you can respond instead of react.

3. Investigate the Cause

Every behavior is serving a purpose.

You will learn how to identify what is driving the behavior so you can address the real problem instead of just reacting to the symptoms.

4. Deter the Behavior

Once we understand the cause, we focus on preventing the behavior before it starts and teaching the missing skills your child needs.

5. Encourage Appropriate Behavior

Finally, we create a discipline plan that reinforces the behaviors you want to see while stopping the reinforcement of problem behaviors.

Until you understand what is actually driving your child’s behavior, even good parenting strategies can fall apart.

Once you start seeing behavior through this lens, things begin to make a lot more sense.

And that is exactly what we focus on inside this program.

"The GUIDE framework completely changed how I see my son’s behavior.”

“For the first time I knew what to do instead of guessing.”

Introducing Confidently Mommin’ Together

A three month coaching program designed to help moms of strong willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids finally break the cycle of big behaviors at home.

Inside this program, we take the GUIDE framework and apply it to the real situations happening in your home.

You will start to see your child’s behavior in a completely different way.

Instead of constantly wondering what to try next, you will understand what is actually causing the behavior and how to respond in a way that helps things improve.

Things that once felt confusing will start to make sense.

And when things make sense, it becomes much easier to know what to do.

What the Program Looks Like

Parenting

Kickoff Week: Build Your First Behavior Plan

  • We start the program with a focused kickoff week where we meet for five live calls in one week.

  • Each day we walk through one step of the GUIDE framework together so you can apply it immediately to a behavior happening in your home.

  • By the end of that first week, you will have a clear plan for addressing one specific behavior with your child.

  • Instead of waiting months to see progress, many parents start experiencing clarity right away.

  • You can ask questions, get guidance on your child’s behavior, and learn from the experiences of other parents facing similar challenges.

  • Many parents say this is where things really start to click because they realize they are not alone and begin seeing behavior through a completely different lens.

  • Private 1:1 coaching sessions are also available if you ever want more individualized support (not included but available to purchase within the program at a discounted rate.)

Listening To Music

Safe and Sound Protocol Listening Sessions: Optional Nervous System Support for Moms

  • Many parents know they need to stay calm in difficult moments, but no one teaches them how to actually support their nervous system so that calm becomes possible.

  • For moms who want additional support with this, I offer Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) listening therapy as an optional add on.

  • SSP is a simple research-based listening program designed to help your nervous system feel safer and more regulated just listening to music.

  • Many parents find that as their nervous system becomes more regulated, it becomes much easier to stay calm, respond thoughtfully, and handle challenging moments with their child.

  • If this feels like something that could support you, you can purchase access once you are inside the program.

This Program Works Best For Parents Who…

This program is designed for parents who want to better understand their child’s behavior and are open to looking at things in a new way.

It tends to work best for families who are willing to:

  • Get curious about what is underneath their child’s behavior

  • Practice new ways of responding, even when it feels different at first

  • Focus on understanding before jumping to discipline

  • Give the process time to work

You do not need to be a perfect parent. You just need to be willing to learn, reflect, and try a new approach.

"Before this program I felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells with my son. The meltdowns were exhausting and I never knew how to respond.

Melissa helped me understand what was actually driving the behavior and everything started to change. Our home feels calmer and I finally feel confident again."

“For the first time I feel like I actually understand what is going on with my daughter instead of constantly reacting. The GUIDE process made everything make sense.”
