Yell Less, Smile More
Named Best Parenting Coach in the US (2025)
Moms of strong-willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids: this one’s for you!
I’m Melissa Schulz, MS, BCBA. Twenty-two years of figuring out why kids do what they do, and three kids of my own who didn’t come with a manual either.

Let’s Meet at MomCon
The 5-Minute Meltdown Makeover
Five Minutes. One Behavior. $5. One thing to try right away.
Tell me the behavior driving you the craziest. Bedtime, the grocery store, the toothbrush standoff, whatever it is.
I'll give you the single best next thing to try for YOUR kid. One move, small enough to start the night you unpack your suitcase.
You get a written summary too, so you remember what to do when real life hits.
Spaces are limited. Sold out on day one, two years running.

From Explosive to Empowered:
How to Respond (Not React) When Behavior Gets Tough
Struggling with your child's behavior despite trying everything? If your child is strong-willed, highly sensitive, or neurodiverse, this one's for you!
I'll walk you through GUIDE, my simple, proven five-step process for finally understanding the "why" behind the behavior, so you can respond with confidence and calm.
I'm teaching it twice on Saturday, so if the first one fills up quickly (like it did last year), you have another chance to get in.
Free with your MomCon ticket. Come early to make sure you get a seat!
Saturday, September 19 at 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm
Location: Maple 4-5
"I am now enjoying my sweet child."
"My son was having 5 to 6 tantrums a day that would last for up to an hour of full-blown screaming, crying, foaming at the mouth, hitting, kicking, biting, and throwing things. I tried staying calm, I tried yelling back, time-out, ignoring him. I was losing my mind."
– Lyndee S.

When You Get Home
Here's the thing nobody says out loud about conferences: you're going to go home. The bags get unpacked, the laundry pile is exactly where you left it, and the first time your kid does the thing again, it's going to feel like MomCon never happened.
That's not a failure. That's just what real life does to a conference high. So here's what I have for you, for that moment.

Here is the thing nobody says out loud about conferences: you are going to go home. The bags get unpacked, the laundry pile is exactly where you left it, and by Thursday your kid is going to do the thing again.

From Explosive to Empowered:
How to Respond (Not React) WHen Behavior Gets Tough
The full workshop, live online
Tuesday, September 29
9:00am PT / 10:00am MT / 11:00am CT / 12:00pm ET
Couldn't get into my session at MomCon? This is the whole thing. And if you were there, it is that hour again on your own couch, when your brain is not full.
Bring whoever else is raising this kid with you. Your husband, your mom, whoever does bedtime. They hear it from me instead of from you, which is a very different conversation.
The Q&A timing is on purpose. You'll have had two weeks at home to try this, so you'll come with real questions instead of hypotheticals.
Everyone gets a short Q&A when the workshop ends. MomCon moms stay on for a second one, private link.
Can't make it live? Lifetime access to the recording comes with every ticket.
$9 for MomCon moms (regularly $27)
MomCon pricing ends Sunday, September 20 at midnight. Then it's full price for everyone.
"After just ONE video..."
"After watching just ONE video, the very next day was a better day for my family. The morning was easier, so I wasn't crying on the way to school drop-off. When I kissed my 6 y/o goodbye, I actually meant it in a loving way, not an "OMG, leave me alone, I can't handle you" kind of way."
- Sarah T.

If you want a plan for your kid:
“I don’t want more information. I want a plan for MY kid.”
You have listened to the podcasts. You have read the book with the good cover. You have tried the thing your friend swore by. And your kid is still your kid, and none of it was written for him.
Behavior Rx
I build the plan. You run it.
Pick one behavior. The one you would fix today, if you could pick only one.
You answer some questions. I do the digging. You get back a written plan that tells you why it is actually happening and exactly what to do instead, plus a video of me walking you through it so it does not just sit in a file.
Not ten things to try. One plan, built specifically for your unique child.
MomCon Bonus: The full MomCon Package comes with it! All 3 workshop recordings, the live workshop, plus the MomCon-only Q&A and the signed book.
*This bonus ends Sunday, September 20 at midnight. Behavior Rx stays available after that, just without the extras.
$97 one-time
Not a program. Not a commitment. Just the answer.
The 30-Day Behavior Fix
We build the plan together. Then I help you make it stick. Four weeks with me in your corner.
First we build a plan that actually fits your kid, not a generic checklist. Then I stay for the month while you run it: the Tuesday it does not go how you hoped, the week it gets louder before it settles, the small adjustments that turn a plan into something you just do without thinking about it.
That last part is what usually gets skipped, and it is what makes it stick.
No calls to schedule. Message me at naptime, in the car line, or at 9 pm in your closet, whenever it works for you.
Starts Wednesday, September 23
10 spots
MomCon bonus: Behavior Rx and the full MomCon Package come with it! Everything above, included.
*This bonus ends Sunday, September 20 at midnight.
$350
or 4 payments of $90

"Melissa was my breath of fresh air"
"Full-blown tantrums in the grocery store, backbreaking dance moves to get her in her car seat, full-on eye contact while slamming her head into the ground, and pet torture while smiling. I cried nightly and yelled daily. Melissa was my breath of fresh air."
- Kelly L.

In Case We Haven’t Met
Hi, I’m Melissa!
For twenty-two years, my whole job has been answering two questions: why is this kid doing this, and how do I get her to stop?
I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, which means I'm trained to examine a behavior and find the real reason underneath it instead of guessing. I've done this for hundreds of families, toddlers through teenagers, including plenty of kids other people had already given up on.
I also have three of my own. Two are neurodiverse, one is strong-willed, and not one of them arrived with instructions. So when you tell me about your 6pm, I'm not imagining it.
Most parenting advice starts with what to do. I start with why your kid is doing it.
Because until you know the why, every strategy is a guess. That's why the last five things you tried worked for about a week and then stopped.
And I'll never make you feel bad about any of it. Not once.

"Our whole family communicates better now."
My husband and I are united with a shared approach to parenting, our kids have clearer boundaries and consequences, and challenging behaviors have noticeably decreased. Our whole family communicates better now.

Questions I Get a Lot
You still get everything. Every ticket comes with lifetime access to the recording, so you can watch it whenever and wherever works best for you.
By email, as links you can watch anytime. Nothing to download, nothing to log into, and they don't expire.
Come see me at the Confidently Mommin' booth (Booth 38) and show me your receipt. My booth closes Saturday at 4:30pm and I may run out before then, whatever comes first. I'm not shipping them, so grab yours while you're in Denver.
Sunday, September 20 at midnight. After that the workshop goes to $27, and the MomCon Package is gone for good.
I know how precious mom time is! That’s why nothing here has a call to schedule. The workshop is just one hour with lifetime access so you can watch it whenever it works best for you. The 30 Day Behavior Fix runs entirely on messages you send in the small pockets of time in your day.
That's really common, and it makes sense. He hasn't been the one up at midnight googling this.
Nine dollars is a small enough yes that you don't have to sell him on it, and he can watch the recording whenever he has a minute. A lot of husbands come around once they hear it from me instead of having to take your word for it. Not because he doesn't believe you. It just lands differently coming from someone who does this all day.
