I've sat with hundreds of families and watched the same pattern play out: a mom who's read everything and tried everything, convinced she's failing, when the actual problem is that the advice was written for a different kid. I'm also a mom of three, two of them neurodiverse. I know exactly what it looks like when the whole morning falls apart before 8am. And after all those years and all those families, here's what I know for sure: I have never met a bad kid. I've met a lot of missed messages. That's what this workshop is. An hour where you learn to catch the message inside the battle, then build a Connection Game Plan for your actual kid with me walking you through it step by step. I'm Melissa Schulz, MS, BCBA, and #1 bestselling author of The Power of Connection. I run Confidently Mommin', where I help moms of strong-willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids stop surviving their days and start enjoying their kids again. This workshop is the fastest way I know to get the closeness back. FAQ My kid is 3. Or 9. Or 16. Is this for us? Yes. The strategies I teach work for ages 2 to 18. What changes is the delivery (fewer sticker charts at 15, more doorframe conversations), and the live coaching pulls scenarios from across the ages so you see how it applies to yours. My kid has ADHD or autism. Will this work for us? This workshop was built with your kid at the center, not as an afterthought. Kids with big feelings and big behaviors are asking for connection the loudest. Most of my client families are parenting neurodiverse kiddos, and the examples in the workshop come from those real families. I came to the July battles workshop. Is this the same material? All new. July was about ending the power struggle in the moment. August is about rebuilding the closeness the battles have been eating. They complement each other, and neither repeats the other. Do I need to buy anything else for this to work? You'll hear about my two deeper offers at the end, and the workshop stands completely on its own. You'll leave with a finished plan for your hardest moment either way. The offers are for moms who want my personal coaching on their specific kid, and plenty of moms take the workshop plan and run. Why Kids Stop Coming to Us (And How to Keep Yours Close) The minutes are still there. Let's go catch them. Ready to stop guessing about the meltdown, the homework standoff, or the phone that will not go on the counter? 🙋🏻♀️ Workshop Benefits During this workshop you’ll: Why the same process works on the hitting at 4, the homework standoff at 9, and the phone that will not go on the counter at 14, instead of needing a separate trick for each one The four paychecks: the four things every kid is actually earning with their behavior, and which one yours is cashing Why your sister-in-law’s bedtime fix did nothing at your house (she wasn’t wrong, it was the right fix for a different paycheck) How to run the process on YOUR kid’s hardest behavior, right there in the room, with me coaching The fastest reset I know, the one you can do mid-meltdown in the minivan or the grocery line You’ll leave with: GUIDE, the five-step process behind every behavior plan I've written in 22 years The reason behind your kid's hardest behavior, not a theory A reset you can use tonight Get My Ticket for $27 Why Everything Becomes a Battle (And How to Make It Stop) Give me $27 and 60 minutes and you’ll walk away with one response built for your specific kid, ready for the very next battle. Get My Ticket for $27 Tuesday, July 28th at 9 am PT/ 12 pm ET Online Zoom Session Lifetime Replay Access Included Workshop Logistics Tuesday, September 29th, 9:00 am PT / 12:00 pm ET Live on Zoom, with a Q&A after Lifetime Replay Access Included Get My Ticket for $27 My Story Why I Teach This I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with 22 years of experience working with kids with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and big behaviors. I've sat with hundreds of families and watched the same pattern play out: a mom who's read everything and tried everything, convinced she's failing, when the actual problem is that the advice was written for a different kid. I also have my own kids. I know exactly what it looks like when the whole morning falls apart before 8am. That's what this workshop is. A live hour where you watch how I think through a real standoff, then build a response for your actual kid with my feedback. I'm Melissa Schulz, MS, BCBA. I run Confidently Mommin', where I help moms of strong-willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids stop surviving their days and start enjoying their kids again. This workshop is the fastest way I know to hand you the first piece. FAQ My kid is 3. Or 9. Is this for us? The workshop is built for kids ages 2 to 10. The Verbal Pivot works across that whole range, and the live coaching pulls scenarios from different ages so you see how it applies to yours. Is this only for kids with ADHD or autism? It's for any mom whose kid doesn't respond to standard parenting advice. Strong-willed, highly sensitive, emotionally intense kids with ADHD, kids with autism. If the usual approaches haven't worked, you're in the right place. Live is better. You can drop your standoff in the chat for the coaching moment and get real-time feedback while you build your response. But the replay goes out the morning after (July 29) and you have lifetime access. I've been to parenting workshops before and nothing stuck. Why is this different? Because you build something during the hour. By the end you'll have a response written for your kid and your situation, ready to use that night, instead of a list of tips to remember. Why $27? Because paid means you'll show up. I've run years' worth of free webinars and watched people register and then disappear. Twenty-seven dollars is the cost of a few coffees, but more importantly, it’s a signal to yourself that you're serious about changing this pattern. Will this be a pitch for coaching? The workshop stands on its own. You'll leave with your response, whether or not you ever spend another dollar with me. At the end, I'll share two ways to keep working with me (Behavior Rx at $97 and the 30-Day Power Struggle Fix at $350) and drop the links in the chat. Zero pressure either way. What does BCBA mean? Board Certified Behavior Analyst. It's a graduate-level credential in applied behavior analysis, the science of how behavior works and how to change it. I use that science to help real families in real kitchens on real Tuesday mornings. Why Everything Becomes a Battle (And How to Make It Stop) The next battle is coming. Let's make sure you're ready for it. Get My Ticket for $27 Tuesday, July 28th at 9 am PT/ 12 pm ET Online Zoom Session Lifetime Replay Access Included

- About Me | Confidently Mommin’
Meet the founder of Confidently Mommin’ and discover her passion for empowering parents. Learn about her journey, qualifications, and commitment to providing expert parenting coaching and support tailored to your unique needs. About Me Hi, I'm Melissa. I'm a mom of three, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master's Degree in Counseling, and for 22+ years I've worked with kids with the biggest behaviors and the parents who love them. These days you might know me as a #1 internationally bestselling author, a national speaker, or the coach Evergreen Awards named Best Parenting Coach in the United States. My work has been featured in USA Today, on Good Morning US, and on the cover of Enterprise World Magazine as their Most Visionary Woman Leader Driving Positive Change in Parenting. But here's the title that matters most on this page: I'm the person moms call when they're done white-knuckling through bedtime battles and grocery store meltdowns. I help parents of strong-willed, highly sensitive, and neurodiverse kids understand why the behavior is happening and exactly what to do about it. Not scripts. Not punishments. A plan built for your actual child. I've worked with hundreds of children and families across the country and internationally, and I'd love to help yours. More About My Professional Background More About My Personal Life More About My Professional Background I started my career at 18, working in group homes for children who had been abused, in shelters for exploited teens, and in teen drug rehabilitation programs. Those kids taught me more about behavior, and about hope, than any textbook ever could. I earned my Master's Degree in Counseling, became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and went on to work at a school for children with emotional disturbances. I started in the classroom and later became Director of Behavioral Services, overseeing the program for students with moderate to severe autism. From there, I served as Director of Behavioral Services for a large organization supporting children and adults with autism in both school and group home settings. In 2009, I founded my first company, providing in-home ABA therapy for children with autism. It grew to 75 employees and won national awards as one of the best companies to work for, while providing the highest quality ABA services in our area. And here's what I learned running that company: the thing that moved the needle most for kids was never more therapy hours. It was supported, confident parents. That realization changed everything. I founded Confidently Mommin' in 2020, and in 2023 I sold my company to coach parents full time. Along the way, I've been a guest lecturer at Azusa Pacific University and San Jose State University, supervised BCBA candidates internationally, and become a sought-after speaker on parenting and behavior. In 2026, I became a #1 internationally bestselling author as a contributing author of The Power of Connection. More About My Personal Life My husband Brian and I have been married for 19 years. We have three hilarious, wonderful, exhausting kids (two neurodiverse, one strong-willed, zero easy) and a sweet pit bull named Waffles. So when I tell you I get it, I really get it. The tools I teach my clients are the same ones I use at my own dinner table, on the good days and the not-so-good ones. I'm very involved in my church, and I volunteer as the Girl Scout Troop Leader for my daughter's troop. I also practice what I preach: I usually have three coaches of my own going at any given time, including right now. Getting support isn't something I just recommend. It's how I live. And I can honestly say I love my work. I get to spend every day helping moms fall back in love with parenting, and it has never once felt like a job. A few more things you should know about me: my favorite kind of day is packing up the kids and getting out of the house for an adventure, ideally to Disneyland, where I would live if they let me. I unwind with runs, long walks, and romantasy novels, and I will never say no to a good margarita. I avoid cooking whenever humanly possible. I have never once liked coffee, which I'm told is my most controversial opinion. And yes, I'm navigating perimenopause and an anxious brain right along with you, so every tool I teach for staying calm is one I'm actively using on myself. Become the parent you want to be. - Free Consultation | Confidently Mommin’
Free Consultation You don’t need more strategies. You need to understand what’s actually going on. This free 60-minute Zoom consultation helps you make sense of your child’s behavior, feel calmer and more capable, and decide what kind of support will actually work for your family. Apply Today Start Here Watch this quick video to meet me and understand what to expect on our call. It’s Not That You Haven’t Tried Hard Enough If you’ve been trying everything and nothing is really working... you’re not missing something simple. You’re likely missing clarity. Because when behavior keeps happening, it’s not random. It’s coming from something underneath that most parenting advice doesn’t address. Apply Today What We Do On This Call Together On this call, we'll slow things down and focus on three things: ● Step 1: We talk through what’s been going on and what’s driving your child’s behavior ● Step 2: I help you understand what’s actually driving your child's behavior and what’s making it so hard to stay consistent. ● Step 3: We understand why what you’ve tried hasn’t worked the way you hoped and decide what support makes sense Not so you leave with a long list of things to do... but so you finally understand what’s going on and what your next step should be. Apply Today This Is for You If... → You feel like you’re constantly reacting instead of responding → You’ve tried strategies that worked for other kids... but not yours → You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and second-guessing yourself → You know your child needs something different, but you don’t know what → You want things to feel calmer, but don’t know how to get there Real Support This call IS: This is a calm, supportive conversation where you can be honest about what’s really going on. It’s a space to understand your situation more clearly and decide what kind of support actually makes sense for you. Apply Today This call is NOT: This is not a pressure conversation, a place where you’ll be judged, or a call where you’ll be pushed into something you’re not ready for. Apply Today This call is designed to support you, not pressure you. If You’re Thinking... → “What if this doesn’t work?” → “I’m already overwhelmed.” → “I don’t want to be sold to” → “My situation is different.” → “What about my partner?” I’ve been there, and I’m supporting parents who are feeling like you, too. This call is FOR YOU. Simply fill out a short application, and I will personally review your application to ensure this is the next right step. I’m here to support and guide you. Apply Today Meet The Founder Melissa is a mom of three and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 20 years of experience supporting children with complex behavioral needs. She helps parents understand what’s really driving their child’s behavior so they can respond with more calm, clarity, and confidence. Her approach blends research-based methods with real-life application to create meaningful, lasting change for families. Meet Melissa If you’ve been hesitating, it makes sense. → You might be wondering if this will work for your child. → You might feel unsure about starting something new or worry about being judged. → You might not have the capacity for something big right now. I hear this every day. Here’s what’s true: You don’t need to have everything figured out to take the next step. You don’t need to commit to anything before you’re ready. And you don’t need to prove anything to be supported here. A free consultation is simply a place to talk through what’s going on, get clarity, and decide what support would actually help.
